Terms and Conditions

Article 1. Definition

1.1 In these General Terms and Conditions, the following terms (both singular and plural) have the following meanings:

Association of Accountancy Students (hereinafter: VAS): the user of these General Terms and Conditions, established at Straatweg 25 in Breukelen and registered with the Chamber of Commerce under Chamber of Commerce number 40530767;

General Terms and Conditions: the General Terms and Conditions of the VAS described on this page;

Event: an event organized by the VAS, for example the city trip, sailing weekend, drinks, etc.

Location: the place where one of the Events is held;

Organiser: the party responsible for the production and/or organization of the event;

Registration: the action required to participate in the event for free;

Helptopay: an online program used by the VAS to receive and process registrations for certain Events;

Microsoft Forms: a program through which the VAS creates forms for receiving and processing registrations for certain Events;

VASSHOP: the online webshop where the VAS sells its merchandise;

Article 2. Applicability

2.1 The General Terms and Conditions below apply to all registrations for Events. Registrations are made via Heltopay or via Microsoft Forms, as well as for all orders via the VASSHOP.

2.2 The General Terms and Conditions of the organizer also apply to the agreement, as well as the General Terms and Conditions of the holders of the locations. In the event of a conflict between the provisions of the agreement or these General Terms and Conditions and the aforementioned terms and conditions, the provisions of the agreement or these General Terms and Conditions shall prevail. Copies of the General Terms and Conditions of the holders of the Locations or of the organizer are available on request from the holders of the relevant locations or from the organizer.

2.3 Sending a registration via Helptopay or Microsoft Forms for one of the Events means that you accept the applicability of the General Terms and Conditions. This also applies to all orders via the VASSHOP.

2.4 The provisions of these Terms and Conditions may only be deviated from in writing, in which case the other provisions will remain in full force.

2.5 All rights and claims, as stipulated in these General Terms and Conditions and in any further agreements for the benefit of the VAS, are also stipulated for the benefit of intermediaries and other third parties engaged by the VAS.

2.6 All offers from VAS and its partners are without obligation and subject to availability.

2.7 The VAS is entitled to check (or have checked) the correctness of the data provided by the applicant. Providing incorrect or incomplete information may lead to the registration being withdrawn.

2.8 The VAS is entitled to refuse registrations or to attach certain conditions to the registration, if necessary without stating reasons. The registration is always concluded under the resolutive condition that the VAS does not accept the registration. If an application is not accepted, the VAS will notify this in writing (by email) within 10 working days of receipt of the application.

Article 3. Prices and discounts

3.1 For some Events, including the city trip or the sailing weekend, the participants must pay a fee to the VAS. This fee is visible via the Helptopay login page and can be indexed annually.

3.2 Other Events, including drinks and VASSAs, can be visited free of charge. This only requires a registration to participate in one of these Events.

3.3 The VAS tries to clearly indicate with the registration forms whether an Event can be visited free of charge, or whether a fee is charged.

3.4 For the VASSHOP, the prices in the webshop are shown with the various articles.

3.5 Members of the VAS who are in possession of an active VASPAS subscription are entitled to priority when registering for Events. These members also receive an attractive discount at some events and for all articles from the VASSHOP. The applicable discounts are shown on the Helptopay registration forms and in the VASSHOP.

Article 4. Applications

4.1 If you have registered for the event, this means that you have access to the chosen Event.

4.2 Should it happen that the Event you have chosen is fully booked, you will be informed of this in good time. In this case, the VAS will partially or completely cancel your application. Any monies paid will be refunded.

4.3 In the unlikely event that you cannot be present at the event, you must inform the VAS of this by e-mail to secretariaat@vasonline.nl, so that your place can be given to another participant.

4.4 Registrations are personal. If you want to visit the Event with someone else, that person must also pay a separate registration. In this way we keep a grip on the number of visitors during the Events.

Article 5. Cancellation

5.1 An organizer has the right to move or cancel an Event. If this happens, the VAS will try to find a suitable solution. If an Event is canceled or rescheduled, the VAS will do its best to inform you as soon as possible. However, we cannot guarantee that you will be notified before the start of the Event and do not hold us responsible for any costs incurred.

5.2 Before confirming your registration, always check whether you have provided the correct information.

Article 6. Delivery

6.1 Registrations will be confirmed upon receipt. You will also be notified prior to the Event by e-mail with relevant information for the Event.

Article 7. Complaints and liability

7.1 You have the obligation to investigate whether the registration is correct and complete upon confirmation of the registration. If this is not the case, you must inform the VAS of this as soon as possible and in any case within three (3) days after the confirmation, or at least after observation was reasonably possible, in writing and with reasons.

7.2 If it has been demonstrated that your registration does not comply with the agreement, the VAS has the option of canceling the relevant registration.

7.3 The VAS is not responsible and does not provide any guarantee for (the access to) the Event, for the organization of the Event, for the (artistic) quality and content of the Event, nor for the state of affairs in and around the Location and accepts no liability in this regard.

7.4 The VAS can never be held liable for damage resulting from death, injury, accidents, injury, loss, damage or theft caused to the customer during or as a result of a visit to the Event or the Location.

Article 8. Electronic Communications and Evidence

8.1 The VAS is not liable for misunderstandings, mutilations, delays or improper transmission of data and messages as a result of the use of the internet or any other means of communication in the traffic between the customer and the VAS (or third parties engaged by the customer).

8.2 The administration of the VAS counts as full proof of the existence, content and performance of the agreement with the customer in any legal proceedings, until proven otherwise by the party, who invokes the fact that the evidence is not reliable .

Article 9. Force majeure

9.1 Without prejudice to its other rights, in the event of force majeure, the VAS has the right, at its own discretion, to suspend the execution of your order or to cancel the registration without judicial intervention, by notifying you of this in writing. and this without the VAS being obliged to pay any compensation, unless this would be unacceptable in the given circumstances according to standards of reasonableness and fairness.

9.2 Force majeure is understood to mean any shortcoming that cannot be attributed to VAS, because it is not attributable to it and cannot be held accountable by virtue of the law, legal act or generally accepted views.

Article 10. Special provisions, liability

10.1. The visitor to the Event organized by the VAS must behave as a good and orderly visitor to events and comply with instructions given by or on behalf of the organizer of an Event to be visited by him, as well as given by the competent authority.

10.2 The VAS will not be liable for a refusal by the organizers of an Event or the public authority to admit a visitor to the Event organized by the VAS due to acts and/or omissions by the visitor.

10.3 The visitor visits the Event at his own risk. the VAS will not be liable for damage incurred by the buyer during the journey to or from the Event or attending it.

10.4 The visitor must inform himself of instructions given by or on behalf of the organizer of the Event or the competent authority regarding, as well as changes with regard to the Event, such as starting time and the like. There is no obligation on the VAS to inform the visitor further in this regard.

Article 11. Miscellaneous

If one or more of the provisions of these Terms and Conditions or any other agreement with the VAS should conflict with any applicable legal provision, the relevant provision will lapse and will be replaced by a new legally permissible comparable provision to be determined by the VAS. provision.
