Privacy statement
Since May 25, 2018, the GDPR, General Data Protection Regulation, has come into effect. This means that we must meet certain requirements. In this statement we inform you about what we do with your personal data and how we protect this data.
Type of data
Like any association, the Association of Accountancy Students processes certain data of its members. In the case of this association, we may process the following data from you:
- Name
- E-mail address
- Phone number
- Address
- Residence
- Study phase
- Study location
We only process this data with your permission. You probably gave this permission when registering an activity, reporting a complaint, purchasing a VASPAS or by becoming a member of a committee, for example.
Basis of processing
Article 6 of the GDPR prescribes that we must be able to base the use of your personal data on one of the six bases described in the relevant article. One of the legal bases is the processing of personal data on the basis of an agreement. The agreement itself may not be aimed at the processing of personal data. By registering for an activity, purchasing a VASPAS or becoming a member of a committee, for example, you enter into an agreement with our association. In order to be able to execute these agreements, we are forced to process any personal data from you.
Retention period
We only store your personal data for as long as and to the extent that we need it. We store data that we need to execute the agreement during the term of the agreement. Upon termination of an agreement or our relationship, we will not keep your data longer than necessary to inform you about certain options.
Security of your data
We have taken adequate measures to protect your data.
Your privacy rights
You have the right to inspect your personal data (Article 15 of the GDPR) and the right to request correction or deletion of your personal data (Articles 16 and 17 of the GDPR). Finally, you can object to the use of your data. Unfortunately, exercising one or more of the above rights can affect your experience with this association.
